This was my first pregnancy and I was super nervous and didn’t know where to start. I spoke with a couple girlfriends and they told me about Doula's.
My fiancé and I interviewed a few doulas and Kristin was one of them and my fiancé and I really felt like we connected with Kristin and could use her physical and emotional support during my pregnancy. Kristin was very professional, and she provided us with so much information at our first meeting, she also had a calming sense around her, which made it easy for us to know she was the right Doula for us. She introduced yoga and meditation practices into our labour prep which was something I really wanted during labour.
The day my water broke I texted Kristin she kept me calm. My fiancé and I headed to the hospital and within an hour Kristin was there during the whole process she helped me with my breathing throughout and I was having excruciating labour back pain and she supported me with different techniques and massages. Kristin had me resting, talked to me, held my hand, and was by my side during the 19.5 hours of labour! She assured my partner and helped him by suggesting different techniques in which he could help me during labour.
We felt more prepared for our birth having Kristin with us.
We are so happy we had Kristin with us during the process and helping us bring our baby boy into the world. I highly recommend having Kristin by your side during your pregnancy and labour journey.
