Kirtan Kriya- "The Divine Song"

Updated: Apr 11

This mediation employs the elementary sounds of Sat Nam (meaning my true identity).

Like all Kundalini Yoga meditations we are working physically, mentally, and spiritually:

Physically, this meditation can stimulate your pituitary and pineal glands which become active and balanced.

Mentally, this can eliminate negative thought patterns and filter our subconscious.

Subtle, and on a spiritual level, you can stimulate a bright radiance and a powerful presence.

Mantra:

SA - is the beginning, infinity, the totality of everything that ever was, is or will be (index finger to thumb)

TA - is life, existence and creativity that manifests from infinity (middle finger to thumb)

NA- is death, change and the transformation of consciousness (ring finger to thumb)

MA- is rebirth, regeneration and resurrection which allows us to consciously experience the joy of the infinite (little finger to thumb)

Each time you press on your fingers, you activate pressure points that help the energy flow along the meridians to the brain.

When you Chant:  Out loud- relate to the realm of the earth and to humanity

Whisper- relate to the realm of lovers, longing to belong and relate

Silently- relate to the realm of the divine and of infinity, beyond time and space.

By chanting in all 3 voices you can achieve a harmonious balance among body, mind and soul.

SA TA NA MA is so primal that its impact on our psyche is like splitting an atom. The power of his mantra comes from the fact that it rearranges the subconscious mind at the most elementary level. It has the power to break habits and addictions because it accesses the level of the mind where habits are created.
